Bishan Park and Sturdee Road

I recycled the used parking coupons to sketch at yesterday Bishan Sketch Walk. Masking taped at the back of 10 coupons to form an accordion sketch sheet 200mm X 850mm. Sketched on the revised of the used coupons with Hero 578 and Lamy Safari pens, Calli Blue for line work and Calli Brown mixed with Calli Blue for wash.

The finished Drawing of Bishan Park.

At the request of the Gallery owner Ms Jane Walker to do an Ad Hoc sketch of the gallery exterior during our visit to the exhibition.
I sketched this from the open space of No 31 Sturdee Road, the Gallery help A Pop Up Art Exhibition for Local and Oversea Artists.
The above sketch was done with fountain pens and Calli Blue Ink on Derwent Sketchbook 180 X 440mm ( open size 180mm X 880mm )

Delta Series Sketchbook 254mm X 178mm ( 10" X 7" )
The Orchard Road series drawings were done in the morning between 8:30 AM and 9 AM before my morning shift work. This is the best time to sketch in Orchard Road as the crowd have not come in. The morning is cooler and less humid.

Brown Ink Sketches with ordinary fountain pen.

Sketched this on the bus ride home after work. This couple
sat on the opposite side of me. I have to sketch fast while
they are still sleeping or if they wake up I have to stop.

I like the sepia effect of the ink on the paper.

While waiting for our food to be served, I sketched the diners on the other table. The ink wash was done later at home.

Sketched this while waiting for a friend at the Clement Library.

Having a quick bite at the Bus Interchange,  I noticed the human traffic is very heavy. People come people go at this Buzz Kiosk. I captured the kiosk without the people.

I sketched this next to the down escalator, it was lunch time and there are a lot of people using the escalator. The ideal place to sketch this is by sitting on the steps but the Shopping Centre do not allow setting on the steps for safety reason.

Saw this group of Aunties chatting in the Food Village, I took a seat outside to sketch with hamburger on 1 hand and pen on the other.
